This course is the annual “Gold Card” and “Blue Card” training class for Armed Security

and Bail Enforcement.

All armed Security Officers, Bail Enforcement Agents, Professional or Surety Bondsman

are required to complete a yearly refresher firearms course. This is a 4-hour program,

including a written exam and range qualification course of fire, required to maintain your

Class 1, 2 or 3 pistol permits.

Students must qualify with the firearm used in the course of their duties.

Course content includes:

Understanding the law relative to the use of force in self-defense;

Legal justification for the use of force;

Alternatives to the use of deadly force;

Re-certification is required on an annual basis and the material covered is required by

State statute.

Course fees include targets and safety equipment as well classroom handouts and

materials.

o Firearm to be used in the course of duties (duty style firearm, not a

subcompact or micro pistol; revolves should be six shot with a 4” barrel)

o Holster for the firearm, strong side, outside the waistband, duty style

holster. No inside the waistband or non-formfitting holsters permitted.

o Three magazines or two speed loaders

o Magazine or speed loader pouch

o 240 rounds, duty ammo (ammo is not included in the course fees)

o Working knowledge of your firearm

All students will shoot the 60 round qualification course multiple times and the

average will be used to determine the final score. An 80% passing average must

be achieved.

There is a $25 fee each time you wish to reattempt qualification
Qualification course of fire includes a variety of shooting positions and distances,

including the use of one-handed shooting techniques, offhand shooting, shooting

from behind cover and shooting from the kneeling position.

If you would like to add an additional firearm/s, each firearm will be an additional $25

date of class to make arrangements for alternative billing or payments.
